Colonel Kellogg participated in three operational deployments.  In 1994, he deployed to Somalia in support of Operation Restore Hope.  In 2007, he served as the aide-de-camp for the Commanding General, Multi-National Security Transition Command-Iraq (MNSTC-I).  In 2010, he served as the 25th Infantry Division G-1 for Multi-National Division Center-Iraq.

Colonel Kellogg holds a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Arts degree from Drake University, and a Master of Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College. 

Honors earned: two Bronze Stars, the Legion of Merit, the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, six Army Meritorious Service Medals, and the Airborne Badge
