Sergeant Everett D Irving was assigned to the 168th Infantry Regiment May 19, 1941 – July 31, 1945 with the 34th Division.

Battles and Campaigns: Naples - Foggia, Rome - Arno, Algeria- French Morocco, & Tunisia. He landed at Salerno in September 1943 as a member of the Fifty Army. Decorations and Citations: Purple Heart with one Oak Leaf Cluster, Good Conduct Medal, American Defense Service Medal, The European–African–Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, and Combat Infantry Badge.

Everett was from near Cedar Bluffs, Iowa where he farmed all his life. He married Bridget Kessler who he had four children with; Mary Jean, Robert, William, and Patricia.
