Frank Jr served in the Army from January 1969 to December 1971. After basic training, he received two weeks of Limited Privilege Communication (LPC) training and eight weeks of military policeman training. He spent the remainder of his active service with battery C, 4th Battalion 43rd Artillery in Alaska as a military policeman. He departed active service as a Sergeant. After returning home, he married and raised three children. He passed away in August of 1998 at a young age of 48 after a 15 year battle with cancer. Frank Jr. will be remembered as a courageous man, one who never complained, remained positive, and who put others before him.
