Gregory Erceg entered the Army in September 1974. Upon graduating Military Police training, he was assigned to the Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe, SHAPE, Belgium. He was Honorably separated in September 1977. He again joined the Army in July of 1980. He attended Warrant Officer Flight Training until October 1980, when vertigo caused him to resign. He was then sent to Butzbach, Germany where he was a Military Policeman for the 564th MP Co, 709th MP Bn. While in Butzbach, he applied for and was accepted into the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Command. As a Special Agent, he served at the Wuerzburg, Germany Resident Agency as well as at the Walter Reed Resident Agency, Washington, DC. He was Honorably discharged in September of 1984.
Honors earned include: Army Commendation with 1st Oak Leaf Cluster, Army Achievement medal, and the Good Conduct Medal with one Oak Leaf Cluster.
