Jennifer Renee (Chipman) Olson joined the United States Air Force on Aug 14th, 1996. She completed her Basic Training at Lackland Air Force Base (AFB) in San Antonio, Texas and then her Technical School at Shepherd AFB in Wichita Falls, Texas as a Mental Health Technician. Her first duty station was at Lackland AFB at Wilford Hall Medical Center in the Inpatient unit and then the Behavioral Health Psychology clinic. Jennifer (Chipman) Olson then had a Permanent Change of Station to Royal Air Force Station Lakenheath Air Base, England. Jennifer transferred from Active Duty Air Force to the Air Force Reserves to attend college at the University of Iowa, in March of 2001. By late September 2001, Jennifer was recalled to active duty to backfill staff at Keesler AFB in Biloxi Mississippi. While there Jennifer obtained her associates degree through the Community College of the Air Force, her EMT-B certification, and attended the Non-Commissioned-Officer-In-Charge (NCOIC) school and was promoted from Senior Airman to Staff Sergeant. Jennifer returned home in July 2002 and joined the Iowa Army National Guard at the 109th Medical Battalion in Iowa City. Jennifer was mobilized yet again with the 109th Med in January 2003, and spent the next 14 months as the assistant NCOIC of the Mental Health clinic in Iraq. Jennifer returned home in February 2004. Jennifer met her husband Adam, got married (11/11/06) and graduated from the University of Iowa December 2006. At the time of this bio submission, Jennifer was serving as the Veterans Service Officer/ Director of Iowa County Commission of Veterans Affairs which she began May 5, 2014.
