I was born April 17, 1973 in Bellevue, Iowa. I enlisted on July 5, 1990. I attended Basic Training and AIT C Co 1/19th INF Ft. Benning, GA May-Sept 1991. I served in A CO 1/133rd INF, B CO 1/133rd INF, C CO 1/133rd INF, D CO 1/133rd and HHC 133rd INF.

Deployed to the Sinai Peninsula for Operation Enduring Freedom May 2003 to March 2004- DCO 1/133rd INF

Deployed to IRAQ for Operation Iraqi Freedom Oct 2005 to Aug 2007.  Deployment was widely recognized as one of the longest continuous deployments for the Global War on Terror for a National Guard unit; six months at Camp Shelby and 16 months in Anbar province Iraq (22 months total).  I Deployed with B CO 1/133rd INF

Medals earned:  Combat Infantryman’s Badge, Meritorious Service Medal, & Order of St. Maurice Inductee 2015
