Leo Emmit Tomash entered the United States Army April 12, 1955 and discharged Honorably August 8, 1957. He completed jump school at Fort Campbell, Kentucky before getting stationed in Germany. Leo earned the rank of Specialist Third Class and earned the Good Conduct Medal along with Marksman. He separated from Fort Sheridan, Illinois and transferred to the Army Reserves.
