Peter Jochimsen served in the U.S. Navy and Navy Reserves from 1972-1994 earning the rank of Captain. He earned the Meritorious Service Medal. Captain Jochimsen served at Newport Naval Hospital in Newport Rhode Island while on Active Duty.
While serving in the Active Reserves; he was assigned to the Navy Marines Reserve Center in Rock Island Illinois, the Readiness Command Center in Minneapolis Minnesota, and to the Navy Marines Corps Reserve Center in Cedar Rapids Iowa.
