Ralph Neppel was born October 31, 1923 in Willey Iowa. He enlisted in to the United States Army March 20, 1943 where he served with distinction until February 18, 1946. He retired from the Iowa City Veterans Affairs Medical Center in 1971. Ralph passed away January 27, 1987.
Medals earned: Medal of Honor, Purple Heart, American Theater Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Theater Medal with three bronze stars, Good Conduct, World War II Victory Medal, Overseas Service bar.
