Col. Robert Luebke

Robert J. Luebke joined the Air Force Early Commissioning Program in 1966. Upon receiving his D.D.S. from the University of Iowa in 1970, he served as a General Dental Officer for three years with the United States Air Force at Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii. In 1974, Robert joined the U.S. Army Reserve as a Dental Officer in the 44th General Hospital, Madison, Wisconsin. Dr. Luebke completed a dental specialty program in Prosthodontics receiving his Certificate and M.S. from the University of Iowa in 1976.
Robert Luebke also served on active duty as a Prosthodontist with the U.S. Army DENTAC in Mannheim, Germany from 1979-1982. He spent the rest of his military career with U.S. Army Reserve units based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Dr. Luebke served as Commander of 481st Medical Detachment, Chief of Professional Services and Vice-Commander of the 73rd Combat Support Hospital and 4224th Medical Detachment. Dr. Luebke was awarded the “A” Proficiency Designator, the highest award for professional achievement given by the Office of Surgeon General, United States Army. Robert Luebke received the Air Force Overseas Ribbon-Long Tour, Army Reserves Overseas Training Ribbon, Army Overseas Ribbon, Army Service Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Army Reserve Component Achievement Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Commendation Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster, and the Meritorious Service Medal. Robert Luebke retired from the United States Army Reserve with the rank of Colonel in 1997.
