LT Ronald Fall enlisted in the U.S. Navy on September 16, 1996, under the Advanced Electronics Computer Field program. He attended Recruit Training Center Great Lakes, IL, and completed his formal training in January 1998, as an Extremely High Frequency (EHF) Electronics Technician (ET).

He reported to his first command, USS Arthur W. Radford (DD-968), located in Norfolk, VA, in January 1998 as an Electronics Technician 3rd Class Petty Officer (E4). He served four years onboard promoting to the rank of E5 and earning his Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist qualification. Ron continued his service as a Recruiter in Moline, IL, then as Staff at Joint Reserve Center Cedar Rapids, IA, followed by another sea assignment onboard USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD-6), stationed in San Diego, CA. Ron had an exceptional tour onboard LHD-6, where he was promoted to E6, earned his Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist, and was selected as command and amphibious squadron 2008 Sailors of the Year.

On March 1, 2010, LT Ronald Fall earned a commission as a U.S. Naval officer under the Limited Duty Officer (LDO) Electronics program (618X). Ron served admirably onboard the USS Higgins (DDG-76) as the ship’s Electronics Material Officer (EMO) where he earned his Officer of the Deck and Surface Warfare Officer (SWO) qualifications. He continued his service onboard the USS Comstock (LSD-45) where he earned his Tactical Action Officer qualification. Ron’s final duty was assignment to Naval Computer Telecommunications Station Sicily, located in Sigonella, Italy, where he served as the Officer in Charge (OIC) of Naval Radio Transmitter Facility (NRTF) Niscemi.

LT Ronald Fall retired on October 1, 2020, after serving 24 years of active duty service (14 enlisted, 10 officer). None of Ron’s successes and achievements would have been possible without the loving support from his wife, Tara, and two daughters, Ana and Kylee.
