Walter E. Shaffer

Walter was born October 14, 1922, the son of Walter Shaffer and Edith Roberts Shaffer. After graduation from high school he worked on his parents farm until he entered the Army in 1945. Two of his brothers were in the service at the same time. Two more would serve in Korea. He also had two sisters and one brother.
Walter went to work for the United States Postal Service and retired from there after thirty-one years. He belonged to the American Legion. He married Betty Lepic on September 29, 1952. Walter and Betty had two sons and a daughter. Walter passed away June 17, 2014.
