While routine soil analyses are conducted on the collected samples, additional parameters are analyzed for to determine the soil's biological health. This type of analysis is called the Soil Health Assessment. Along with the comprehensive results for each sample, a soil health score is also calculated . This score ranges from zero to 50, and provides a quick reference with regard to soil health comparing soils under different management systems. Scores are typically below 30, and the higher the score, the better the health of the microbial population based on the analyzed parameters.
