AGENDA

Introductions – Ben Symonds is representing Ambulance Dept.  In for Fiona Johnson.

Approval of Minutes:  Approved meeting minutes of March 16, 2021

Next Meeting Date and Time:  Tuesday, May 18, 2021

Ice Breaker: Ramonda.  Who do you look like?  A Celebrity?

Budget Balance:  $4,305.66.  Still have $1,200 to pay for Tiffany Yu presentation and  the Cultural Assessment will probably be paid in this fiscal year.

Anti-Discrimination Policy Update: Lora.  Done.  At County Attorney’s Office now being reviewed.

Cultural Assessment Update: Keshia.  This is scheduled for Sept 13-24.  10 minute survey.

Potential D&I Committee Events 

Film Screening of Crip Camp: A Disability Revolution – May/June?  Talked about this specific movie.  Maybe this movie or another.  Maybe discussion after participants have watched it on their own.

 

Book Discussion-May/June?  Possible too.

Other items not on the agenda:

  1.  Strategic Plan:  Any changes, email Keshia.  Donna said there is a federal recovery grant that may be used to establish Community Navigators that can help minority population or undocumented immigrants with community resources.
  2. D & I Ambassadors: Keshia is working on the bios for the ambassadors and will post them on the D & I Committee website.  There is an ambassador meeting next week.
  3. Share with coworkers:  Have a conversation with coworkers that you don’t know so well and get another view point on topics.  Make them feel included.
