MEETING MINUTES
Members: Maysa Ahmed, Dawn Alam, Keshia Fields, John Hannaford, Kate Klefstad (Public Health), Kristen Morrow, Laurie Nash, Annie Nugent, Kyle Phillips (Auditor’s Office), Royceann Porter, Lynn Rose, Lora Shramek, and Kelly Weston.
Introductions. V. Fixmer-Oraiz introduction. V is founder of Astig Planning LLC. Members introduced themselves.
Approval of Minutes: Approved meeting minutes of December 15, 2020.
Next Meeting Date and Time: Tuesday, February 16, 2021
Ice Breaker: Keshia. What song or artist can you listen to all day.
Budget Balance: $5,701.48
Land Acknowledgement Discussion. Land that is originally native land and which tribes were on that land. Poor Farm will have a sign. UI has some text on their website, The University of Iowa Acknowledgement of Land and Sovereignty. Members are interested in pursuing. V. Fixmer-Oraiz has been involved in this and will assist. V. gave us a meditation to use.
Bi-Annual Report. Highlight what we have been doing so far. Stats are in the google drive connected to the Microsoft Team app. 90 different employees attended our events. 194 total. Still trying to get more staff involved.

If you are doing an article for the JoCo Weekly, please provide a date of when you will submit it and what topic you will discuss. I would like these a month in advance.
