Approval of Minutes:  Approved April 20, 2021 meeting minutes

Next Meeting Date and Time:  Tuesday, June 15, 2021

Ice Breaker: Gary B. Gary gave us an activity on following directions.  Best ice breaker ever! Also we shared what our biggest frustration is.  Many said poor communication was frustrating.

Budget Balance:  $1,337.91 remaining.  Still have Crip Camp movie discussion at $350 and Kahoot! software subscription at $700 left to pay in this fiscal year.

Discuss House File 802.  If the training is not required then the bill does not apply.  If some departments/offices require D & I training, but not a specific event, then the bill does not apply.  New hires do take a diversity class and that is required, so we need to review that training.  Keshia was wondering if the surveys or recommendations for training from the surveys will be a problem.  They should not be a problem.  Lynn Rose talked about the different scenarios.  She also said there isn’t an enforcement part to the legislation.

Welcoming Week and D&I Ambassadors Update: Annie.  Welcome week is 9/10-9/19.  There will be opportunities to get to know your co-workers and community.  There will be games, activities, presentations, trainings, etc.
