MEETING MINUTES

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 20, 2020 9AM-10AM

Members Present:  Maysa Ahmed, Dawn Alam, Donna Brooks, Keshia Fields, John Hannaford, Laurie Nash, Annie Nugent, Alyssa Palante, Heather Sanderson, Ramonda Shelton, Kelly Weston, and Raquel Wray.  Guests Anthony Arrington & Sarika Bhakta 

Approval of Minutes:  APPROVED September 15, 2020 minutes.

Presentation: Top Rank Talent Solutions - Anthony Arrington & Nikeya Diversity Consulting, LLC - Sarika Bhakta. 

            D & I assessment tool has 2 parts.  Organizational and individual.  Qualitative and Quantitative questions.  31 questions + 6 demographic questions + 2 open ended questions.

            2-6 weeks for prep of the survey.  Survey open for 2 weeks.  It takes about 10 min to do the survey.

            We will receive a final report with explanation of results.  Also each individual receives their own personal report of their answers.

            $10,000 - $20,000

 

How do we get it to those without email or computer access?  How do we get full participation?

 

Budget Balance:  $9,562.38 – Discuss FY22 Budget

D&I Committee Strategic Plan:  D& I Ambassadors – Alyssa and Annie – Update.  Meet next week, discuss their rolls.  What they are and what they do.

  • Need to add to employee handbook a section on how to report if you are experiencing discrimination.  Work on a process.  Use Qualtrics if we have it?  Use ambassadors?
  • Qualtrics.  Will ask for in FY22 budget (12/8 work session budget meeting)
  • 21 Day Racial Equity Challenge - Oct 5th – November 2nd
