MEETING MINUTES

Members Present: Dawn Alam, Gary Boseneiler, Kathryn Edel, John Hannaford, Cindy Hudson, Shannon Innis, Paola Jaramillo, Fiona Johnson, Laurie Nash, Annie Nugent, Kyle Phillips, Jordan Plath, Lynn Rose, BJ Salazar, and Kelly Weston

Next Meeting Date and Time:  Tuesday, June 14, 2022.  Meetings now moved to 2^nd Tuesday of the month.

Ice Breaker:  My name is _____ and I am from ___ Dept.  One thing you cannot tell just by looking at me is______.  This is important to tell you because_________.

Budget Balance:  $4,336.  Does not include cost of hand art work.

Secondary Roads art reveal: Secondary Roads designed their own hand art work and it is now complete and framed.  Most departments are going to have a hand art work made.  

Juneteenth:  The committee donated $4,000 for Juneteenth events.  Paola showed a poster and will also have a flyer to advertise the events.  From Tues 6/14 to Sat 6/18 several events.  Krista Burich made the poster. 

Hiring Managers Training:  On Tuesday 5/16 and Wed 5/17 there was training for hiring managers.  32 managers from 13 departments attended.  It was a very productive training.  Top Rank and Nikeya consulting provided the training and will make a report for the committee with action items to move forward.  Paola will share the report when she receives it.

Not on the agenda:  Iowa City Pride parade will be Saturday 6/18 with other events too.
