On the afternoon of June 6, 2006, a tornado warning was issued for Johnson County.  In some precincts, pollworkers had to temporarily close the polling place and take shelter.  Voting hours were not extended to make up for the temporary closing - all polling places closed at 9 p.m. as originally scheduled. Voters in line by 9 p.m. were allowed to vote.

This report details whether or not polling places were closed for the tornado warning and, if so, how long the polls remained closed.
