Dates and deadlines

February 10: First day for early voting at Auditor's Office, College Community School District.

February 17: Office closed for President's Day holiday.

February 21, 5 PM: Voter pre-registration deadline and deadline to request mailed absentee ballots.

  • Voter registration is still available after this date using the election day registration process, which requires ID and proof of address.
  • Ballots cannot be mailed after February 21, but in person early voting will still be available.

March 2: Last day for in person early voting at the Auditor's Office. College Community School District voters may vote at the Johnson County Auditor's Office until 5:30 PM. West Liberty Community School District voters may vote at the Muscatine County Auditor's Office.

March 3: Election Day. Polls open 7 AM to 8 PM. Voters in the College Community School District will go to regular polling places.

Due to changes in state law, Johnson County voters in the College Community School District voters will vote at Johnson County polling places for this election. However, because there are fewer than 125 Johnson County voters in the West Liberty Community School District, Muscatine County will be in charge of that election. Shall the Board of Directors of the College Community School District in the Counties of Benton, Linn, and Johnson, State of Iowa, be authorized to contract indebtedness and issue General Obligation Bonds in an amount not to exceed $54,000,000 to provide funds to be used together with sales tax revenues to provide funds to build, furnish, and equip a new 5th/6th grade building and improve the site therefor, and to improve, repair, remodel, and equip the current Prairie Creek building to serve 9th grade students, including a walkway addition connecting to Prairie High and related site improvements?
