MEETING MINUTES

                         Zoom Virtual Meeting

Members Present:  Dawn Alam, Gary Boseneiler, Donna Brooks, Brandon Davis, Keshia Fields, John Hannaford, Mike Hensch, Cindy Hudson, Lakeshia Jackson, Fiona Johnson, Laurie Nash, Annie Nugent, Kyle Phillips, Jordan Plath, Lynn Rose, BJ Salazar, Lora Shramek, Ana Studt, and Kelly Weston.  Shannon Innis replaced IT Department member Bill Horning.

Approval of Minutes:  Approved meeting minutes from September 28,

Next Meeting Date and Time:  Tuesday, November 16, 2021

Ice Breaker: Shannon Innis.  Where did you work before coming to Johnson County?

Budget Balance:  $10,028.09.  Have about $1,000 in annual dues left to pay.

Diversity & Inclusion Assessment Survey:  Will discuss in detail with Top Rank/Nikeya Diversity next week (10/26, 9am zoom meeting).  Discussed results of D & I survey.  Some bad, some good.  Some members were alarmed at negative comments.  Some members will review results this week.   

Budget Discussion: Add Hiring Manager/Supervisor training.  Test out e-learnings, should we keep or cancel in FY23.  Keshia does follow up with the supervisor of new employees who are taking the e-learning to ensure they complete it in 30-60 days.  Increase scholarship money.  Add money for D & I Ambassador activities.  Add money for Juneteenth?  Will conduct D & I Assessment survey every 3 years.

New Business:  Keshia is resigning in a couple of weeks and going to Polk County as D & I specialist there.
