The Johnson County Auditor’s Office completed its post-election audit for the June 2, 2026 Primary Election, confirming the accuracy of the election night results.
As part of Iowa’s commitment to election transparency and accuracy, the Iowa Secretary of State randomly selects one precinct in each county for a manual audit following each election. This year, Johnson County audited the Iowa City 11 precinct, comparing the hand-counted results to the official machine tabulation.
The audit results matched exactly, with no discrepancy found.
“I welcome the audits after each election,” said County Auditor Julie Persons. “This continues to show the accuracy of our equipment and processes.”
