Auditor

For the first time in more than a decade, early voting is returning to Solon High School. The Johnson County Auditor’s Office will offer satellite voting at the school, 600 West Fifth St., in Solon on Friday, Oct. 23, 2026.

Voting will be available from 2 to 8 p.m., allowing voters to vote after school and football fans to stop by before the 7 p.m. varsity football kickoff against Fort Madison.

“We decided to bring a satellite voting location to the northern part of the county this year, so Solon and rural residents have an opportunity to vote early at a convenient location,” said Auditor Julie Persons.

Whether you're heading to the game, meeting up with fellow Spartan fans, or looking for a convenient time to vote, make a stop at the high school part of your Friday plans. Exercise your right to vote, then your right to cheer!

A few things to know before you go:

When: Friday, Oct. 23, from 2 to 8 p.m.

Where: Solon High School, 600 West Fifth St, Solon. Enter through the auditorium entrance on the east side of the building; the voting location is just beyond the double doors.

Who: Any eligible Johnson County voter. All ballot styles are available at every satellite voting location, so residents can vote at whichever location is most convenient, regardless of their home precinct.

The Johnson County Auditor’s Office encourages residents to use these additional satellite locations and choose the time that best fits their schedules.
