Board of Supervisors

The Johnson County Board of Supervisors announces two vacancies on the Johnson County Commission of Veterans Affairs for a three-year term beginning June 1, 2025, and expiring May 31, 2028.

Members shall be veterans, as defined in Iowa Code Section 35.1, which includes but is not limited to, residents of Iowa who served in active federal service, other than training, in the armed forces of the United States and who were discharged under honorable conditions. If possible, each member of the commission shall be a veteran of a different military branch; however, this qualification does not preclude membership to a veteran who served in more than one branch of the military.

This person must be an eligible elector of Johnson County.

Application forms are available on the Committee/Board Openings webpage on the Johnson County website, www.johnsoncountyiowa.gov/vacancies. In addition, applicants must provide a copy of their DD-214 or discharge papers.
