The October 6 community session of the proposed Johnson County Sheriff’s Office and Jail will now be at the Hy-Vee Center at Centennial Park, 1565 St. Andrews Dr., North Liberty. 

The location change will provide additional space for attendees. The session will still begin at 6 p.m.

This is the final of three public informational sessions that Johnson County scheduled to provide information about the proposed sheriff’s office and jail. The session will provide an overview of the proposal, explain the need for a new facility, and allow members of the public to ask questions.

The informational session will feature presentations from Johnson County Sheriff Brad Kunkel and representatives from Shive-Hattery, the architectural and engineering firm working with the county on the project.
