Due to the potential blizzard forecast for Sunday, March 15, 2026. F.W. Kent Park will be closed to vehicular traffic at 4 p.m. on Sunday and will remain closed until staff can safely reopen the park to vehicular traffic.  The park will remain open to pedestrian traffic, and park users can park at the parking lot near the front entrance.  The public is strongly encouraged to stay home until roadways can be cleared.  Law enforcement, first responders, and road crews will be out there working hard.  Let's not risk becoming another motorist they need to assist.  

Grab a book, clean your tackle box, plan your next fishing trip, or organize your outdoor photography.  There are plenty of outdoor activities to fill these stormy hours until it's safe to start your next adventure.  Stay safe and help keep everyone at home during this blizzard.
