Johnson County, Iowa -- The Conservation Department will be replacing damaged concrete panels on the Iowa River Trail, aka the Dubuque Street Trail, between County Down Lane NE and Squire Point Access Road NE, beginning on Monday, July 27 and continuing through Friday, July 31. Repairs will require removing the damaged concrete panel(s), prepping the subgrade, and forming the new concrete panels. It is recommended that trail users walk their bicycles around these construction sites. Cones, barricades, and other cautionary devices will be used to advise the public of these activities. Please exercise additional caution along this trail corridor and remain out of the construction sites until the panels have cured sufficiently and are opened for use.
