Jury Reaches Verdict in Trial of Dustin Hills
August 27, 2025 (JOHNSON COUNTY, IA) – After deliberating for 12 minutes today, a Johnson County jury found Dustin Hills guilty of indecent exposure. Hills was charged after an incident in December 2023 when he exposed himself to an 11 year-old child in the toy aisle at the Iowa City Walmart. The victim, who is now 12, and her mother both testified at trial, which began on Tuesday. The case was investigated by the Iowa City Police Department, and prosecuted by Assistant Johnson County Attorney Mike Lang.
The Indecent Exposure charge is an Aggravated Misdemeanor which carries a potential sentence of up to 2 years in prison.
