The Johnson County Emergency Management Agency is finalizing its Hazard Mitigation Plan draft before submission to Iowa Homeland Security and Emergency Management and FEMA for review and approval.
The plan assesses risks and vulnerabilities of natural hazards to the county, cities, and school districts. It provides recommendations to increase their hazard resiliency and reduce risk. In doing so, these actions aim to protect property and those who reside within the county.
This draft plan will be available for download until February 4, 2025, at 5:00 pm.
