Board of Supervisors

The Johnson County Board of Supervisors will accept applications for Opioid Settlement Funds Grants from April 15 through May 6, 2026, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the community’s response to the opioid crisis.      

A total of $200,000 is available for this grant cycle and individual awards will be approximately $50,000.      

Eligible applicants include:     

  • 501(c)(3) nonprofit or charitable organizations serving Johnson County residents 
  • Government entities, including county departments, school districts, towns, and cities within Johnson County    

Competitive applications will demonstrate specific opioid-related need, measurable impacts, and how the project aligns with Schedule A Core Strategies outlined in the Iowa Opioid Settlement Memorandum of Understanding.

Funding for this grant is provided by national opioid settlement agreements. According to the settlement agreements, these funds must be used for opioid abatement efforts.
