Weather permitting, bridge replacement will begin the week of February 19, 2024, on F20 (Amana Road NW) over Swisher Creek in Section 21, Township 81 North, Range 07 West, Jefferson Township, Iowa. F20 (Amana Road NW) will be closed to all traffic from Cou Falls Road NW to approximately 900 feet West of Cou Falls Road NW. Travelers should use the posted detour route of W60 (Highway 965 NW) to F12 (120^th Street NW) to Falcon Avenue NW to access the Iowa DNR offices, shooting ranges, archery range, and other public recreational areas located on F20 (Amana Road NW.)

Construction is expected to be substantially complete by the end of August. The project involves removing the existing bridge over Swisher Creek, and replacing it with a new 110-foot-long, 30-foot-wide concrete beam bridge, along with realignment and reconstruction of the bridge roadway approaches. Taylor Construction Inc. of New Vienna, Iowa is the prime contractor.
