Johnson County is accepting Social Services Emergency Grant and Poverty Reduction Initiative Grant applications. The purpose of the funding is to assist organizations in responding to short-term or one-time emergency needs and to support programs and strategies that help lift households out of poverty. Funding will support new programming related to services provided in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, innovative new programming, capacity building, sustaining of services, and the purchase of essential equipment/supplies.
The County may award up to $160,000 in funding to non-profit, charitable organizations providing services to Johnson County residents. Grants will cover the period beginning on or around Jan. 1, 2022, and expiring no later than June 30, 2022.
