The Johnson County Board of Supervisors is accepting applications for Juvenile Justice and Youth Development programming for the FY26 to FY28 grant cycle. Up to $350,000 will be awarded to nonprofit organizations providing evidence-based, trauma-informed, culturally responsive youth development and delinquency prevention services to Johnson County youth 10 to 16 years of age.
Juvenile Justice and Youth Development programs will increase opportunities for positive youth development during out-of-school time, build protective factors in at-risk youth, and prevent or reduce the need for intensive intervention services and out-of-home placement. Successful bidders will receive an annual contract to begin July 1, 2025, with the option of two additional renewals, contingent on the availability of funding and successful progress toward the scope of services and performance measures.
The application link and instructions can be found at www.johnsoncountyiowa.gov/socialservices under RFPs and Applications or www.johnsoncountyiowa.gov under Bids, Proposals and RFPs.
Letters of intent are due by 4:00 p.m. Monday, Feb. 24 to [email protected]. A bidder’s conference will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 5. Applications are due by 4:00 p.m. Monday, March 31.
