The Johnson County Board of Supervisors announces a vacancy on the Johnson County Zoning Board of Adjustment for residents of unincorporated Johnson County. The vacancy is for a five-year term beginning upon appointment and expiring Dec. 31, 2027.

Duties are established by Johnson County Unified Development Ordinance Chapter 8:1.28(A), and include the following:

Interpret zoning regulations in particular circumstances; and Permit conditional uses, special exceptions and variances as specified in the Johnson County Unified Development Ordinance.

Completed applications must be returned to the Board Office by 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2023.

Qualified applicants must be eligible electors of Johnson County.

The Zoning Board of Adjustment meetings are scheduled for the third Wednesday of each month at 5:30 p.m. Meetings are not held when no new applications have been filed. The average meeting length is one to two hours.
