The Johnson County Board of Supervisors announces a vacancy on the Johnson County Commission of Veterans Affairs for a three-year term beginning upon appointment and expiring May 31, 2025.

Members shall be veterans, as defined in Iowa Code Section 35.1, which includes, but is not limited to, residents of Iowa who served in active federal service, other than training, in the armed forces of the United States and who were discharged under honorable conditions. If possible, each member of the commission shall be a veteran of a different military action; however, this qualification does not preclude membership to a veteran who served in more than one of the wars or conflicts.

This person must be an eligible elector of Johnson County.
