The Johnson County Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing on the proposed Volume 3: Mid-Term Update to the Johnson County 2018 Comprehensive Plan at its regularly scheduled meeting that begins at 5:30 p.m., Thursday, April 11. Routine business may precede the comprehensive plan agenda item.
The public may attend the meeting in person or virtually.
The meeting will be held in the second-floor boardroom of the Johnson County Health and Human Services (HHS) Building located at 855 S. Dubuque Street in Iowa City. Free parking is available on the first floor of the parking ramp to the north of the building as well as the open lot adjacent. Attendees should enter the building by the flagpole, or attend virtually by accessing the link at https://johnson-county.granicus.com/ViewPublisher.php?view_id=1.
At the meeting, County staff will present an overview of the updates proposed, followed by a chance for public comments, with Board discussion to follow. The Board will consider the Planning and Zoning Commission recommendation (3-1 vote) made on March 18 that the existing plan be amended through the addition of the third volume.
