The Healthy Aging Fair will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 8, at the North Liberty Community Center, 520 W. Cherry Street, North Liberty.

The fair is a free event and will offer presentations, health screenings and a vaccine clinic. The resource fair will consist of representatives from more than 70 community organizations that provide services to older adults, as well as presentations on bone health, meal planning for one to two people and an interactive Tai Chi demonstration.

Before the fair, there will be a Dementia Friends information session on supporting loved ones with dementia beginning at noon. 

The event is hosted by Johnson County Livable Community for Successful Aging, The City of North Liberty, Iowa Health Care, TRAIL of Johnson County, Iowa College of Nursing, Csomay Center for Gerontological Excellence, The VA Caregiver Support Program, Solon Retirement Village, The Heritage Area Agency on Aging and The Iowa City Senior Center.
