UPDATE: Victim Identified in Tiffin Fatal Shooting
January 12, 2026 (JOHNSON COUNTY, IA) – The victim from the fatal shooting that occurred in Tiffin on Saturday, January 10, 2026, has been identified as Lee Earl Krogh, age 57, of Iowa City, Iowa. The investigation remains ongoing and there is no further information available at this time.

Johnson County Sheriff’s Office Responds to Shooting in Tiffin
January 10, 2026 (JOHNSON COUNTY, IA) – This morning at 11:44am, the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call for a shooting at 445 Iris Court in Tiffin. Upon arrival, deputies located one person with a gunshot wound outside of the building. The victim was transported to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics via Johnson County Ambulance Service, and was later pronounced deceased.
The name of the victim is being withheld pending the notification of next of kin. There is no current threat to the public. This is an ongoing investigation, and no further details are available at this time.
