Johnson County Public Health Releases Updated Local Health Data
June 15, 2026 (IOWA CITY, IA) — Johnson County Public Health, as part of its community health assessment and improvement initiative, HealthyJoCo, has released its updated local health data snapshot. The survey captures over 700 responses from Johnson County residents’ health behaviors and community feedback to better understand which health improvement projects and goals should be prioritized.
The report is available at www.healthyjoco.com. New this year, the data is compiled into an interactive dashboard that allows the public to explore and learn more about the health of Johnson County.
“The dashboard is a great way to drill down to specific areas of data we collected during this assessment cycle,” said Cole Kruse, Public Health Systems Analyst. Community members participated via in-person, online, and mail-in surveys conducted last fall. The updated data snapshot is part of a three-year process to assess the health of the community and identify priority health issues.
“Our team is encouraging everyone to look at the report or interact with the dashboard. This is the community’s data and we’re always happy to take feedback,” says Cole Kruse. The data has been used for funding prioritization, program planning, and directing health improvement projects in the community.
