The Johnson County Board of Supervisors is accepting applications to implement the Juvenile Pre-Charge Diversion Coordination and Expansion Program in Johnson County. Pre-Charge Diversion programming will utilize best practices in juvenile justice and positive youth development to decrease youth involvement with the juvenile justice system and decrease disproportionality of youth of color in juvenile justice systems.

Up to $49,800 will be awarded to a local non-profit organization or governmental entity to provide diversion coordination and direct diversion programming to Johnson County youth in Fiscal Year 2023. The successful bidder will receive an initial contract to begin Nov. 1, 2022, with the option of two additional renewals through Dec. 31, 2024, contingent on the availability of funding and successful progress toward scope of services and performance measures.

The application link and instructions are available at www.johnsoncountyiowa.gov/ss  under RFPs and Applications or www.johnsoncountyiowa.gov  under Bids, Proposals, and RFPs.

An optional bidder’s conference will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 14.  Applications are due by 4 p.m., Monday, Oct. 3.  For more information, contact Laurie Nash, Youth and Family Services Manager, at [email protected].
