The mission of Johnson County Commission of Veterans Affairs is to assist all honorably discharged Veterans and their dependents in Johnson County and to connect them with the benefits they are eligible for. Benefits may include federal disability compensation, pension, hospitalization, insurance, education, employment, loan guarantees, or any other aid or benefit to which they may be eligible for. We offer assistance with State Veteran Benefits as well, and provide temporary emergency assistance for shelter, food, utilities, and burial.

Primary Care Services includes: cancer screening, high cholesterol treatment, chronic obstructive pulmonary, disease (COPD) treatment , diabetes prevention and treatment, flu vaccine, high blood pressure prevention and treatment, treatment for obesity, osteoporosis treatment, prostate disease prevention and treatment, and smoking cessation.
