- Only voters who live in Council District C are eligible to vote in the February 4 primary. On March 4, all Iowa City voters may vote.
Precinct and Polling Place Lookup
If your address is in District C, the polling place lookup will say that your next election is February 4. If the lookup says your next election is March 4, you are not in District C.

Voters in other Iowa City precincts will not be able to vote, and polling places outside District C will not be open on February 4.
A city primary is not a partisan primary. All voters in District C will be able to participate regardless of party affiliation. - How The Process Works
- Iowa City requires a primary if three or more candidates file for a district seat.
The top two District C candidates will advance to the March 4 election. Voters may only vote for one candidate in the primary. Only District C voters may vote in the primary. In the March 4 election, all voters in Iowa City will be able.

- Early Voting
- Absentee Ballot Request Form
- Wednesday, January 15: First day for in person early voting at the Auditor's Office, and first day mailed absentee ballots can be sent. Voting will be available weekdays 8:00 am to 5:00 p.m.
- January 20: Martin Luther King holiday, office closed.
- January 21, 5 PM: Deadline for voter pre-registration and mailed absentee ballot requests. (Deadline extended due to holiday.) We must have your request form in our office by 5 PM. In-person early voting and Election Day Registration are still available after this deadline.
- Monday, February 3: Last day for in-person early voting at Auditor's Office.
- Tuesday, February 4: All domestic mailed absentee ballots must arrive at Auditor's Office before the polls close at 8:00 pm in order to be counted.
