Sharon Center Road SW between Highway 1 and Kansas Avenue is open to traffic.
F46 Road (American Legion Road Southeast), between 400th Street and Wapsi Avenue, is open to through traffic again.
Weather permitting, F46 (American Legion Road SE), between 400th Street and Wapsi Avenue, will be closed to through traffic on Monday, August 12, 2024. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses along this segment of the road.
Secondary Roads is pleased to announce that the F28 (West Penn Street) and James Avenue intersection paving improvements in Sections 9 and 10, Township 80 North, Range 07 West, Madison Township, Iowa, are substantially complete and both roads are now open to traffic.
Johnson County announces the early opening of F20 (Amana Road NW) over Swisher Creek to all traffic. This includes the intersection with Cou Falls and Amana Road.
Johnson County, Iowa - Sandy Beach Rd NE and 140th Street NE is now open. The road was closed due to flood related issues.

The Johnson County Secondary Roads Department announces that the road work on 540th Street between Hwy 1 and Gable Avenue in Sharon Township is substantially complete, and the road is open to traffic.
Weather permitting, critical closure for improvements to the intersection of F28 (West Penn Street) and James Avenue is expected to begin Monday, May 20, 2024, in Madison Township, Iowa. The intersection will be closed for up to 40 calendar days.
The National Association of County Engineers (NACE) awarded Johnson County Engineer Greg Parker, P.E., the 2024 Urban County Engineer of the Year Award during its Annual Conference earlier this month. Parker has served as Johnson County Engineer since 2005.
