Johnson County accepting applications for the Community Food and Farm Grant to strengthen local food security through increased community-based food production, processing and distribution capacity
Johnson County is accepting applications for the third Community Food and Farm Grant cycle beginning on Friday, Mar. 15, 2024. Applications will be accepted until 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Apr. 12, 2024.

Auditor’s Office to mail property taxpayer notification statements on or by March 20, 2024
The Auditor’s Office will mail property taxpayer notification statements to Johnson County property owners containing state-specified information about proposed local government budgets and property tax rates on or by March 20, 2024.
Due to weather and contractors' schedules, reconstruction will now begin on April 1, 2024.
Weather permitting, road reconstruction is expected to begin the week of March 18, 2024, April 1, 2024, on 540th Street in Sharon Township. 540th Street will be closed to through traffic from 400 feet east of Highway 1 to and including the Gable Avenue intersection. Local access to businesses and residences located on this segment of 540th Street shall be maintained.
