Johnson County officials have confirmed U.S. citizenship for 63 people on the list of alleged non-citizens provided by Secretary Paul Pate

Johnson County Auditor Erin Shane announced as of 3 p.m. today, Oct. 31, 2024, Johnson County officials have confirmed US citizenship for 63 people on the list of alleged non-citizens provided by Secretary Paul Pate. One person was referred to law enforcement for additional clarification and investigation on whether they were eligible to vote.

The effort to proactively confirm those on the list is being undertaken by the Auditor’s Office in addition to the offices of Johnson County Attorney Rachel Zimmermann Smith and Sheriff Brad Kunkel.

Food Policy Council to host Happy Hour event in Lone Tree on November 14

The Johnson County Food Policy Council (FPC) will host a Happy Hour event from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 14, 2024, at The Lone Ox Smokehouse & Company, 113 N Devoe St, Lone Tree. This free event aims to facilitate new connections across the community food system and raise awareness of the FPC as a community resource.

At 5:30 p.m. FPC members will serve free street food from The Lone Ox. At 6 p.m., Zee and Tony Brown, owners of The Lone Ox will speak, along with other Lone Tree community representatives.
