West Branch Man Sentenced to 2 Years for Indecent Exposure in Presence of a Child
In preparation for the City/School Election on Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2025, public testing of county voting equipment will commence at the Johnson County Auditor’s Office, 913 S. Dubuque St., at 10 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 20, 2025. This testing is important to ensure voting machines are working accurately and reliably before Election Day.

The Iowa City Fire Department (ICFD) expanded its partnership with the Johnson County Ambulance Service (JCAS) to improve the delivery of emergency medical services to the west side of Iowa City.

Johnson County is accepting applications for Social Services Emergency Food and Housing Assistance Grants. The county may award up to $200,000 in funding to nonprofit and charitable organizations that provide services to Johnson County residents.
The funding will assist organizations to sustain existing services and build capacity to meet the growing demand for food and housing assistance. If awarded, grant money must be expended between Dec. 1, 2025 and June 30, 2026.
