Temporary Emergency Assistanace provides short-term financial assistance to eligible Veterans and their dependents for rent, utilities, food, transportation, and funeral expenses. 

An initial assessment will be done over the phone and an in-person office visit will be scheduled accordingly. 

Your household income must be under 185% of the Federal Poverty Level to qualify for Temporary Emergency Assistance.

The required documents below must be printed out and brought with you to the appointment, or they may be emailed/faxed prior to the appointment. 

  • DD-214 discharge papers -  Mandatory for all programs (we can assist obtaining or ordering these for you)
  • All bank account statements for all of the household members
  • Current lease agreement signed by both parties or utility bill in the applicant's name (If applicable)
