Road Closure On W62 (Sharon Center Rd. SW) Between Highway 1 And Kansas Avenue SW

Johnson County, Iowa – Effective immediately, W62 (Sharon Center Road SW) is closed to all traffic between Highway 1 and Kansas Avenue SW. The hard closure is located at the box culvert on W62 approximately 0.6 miles south of Highway 1 and 2.3 miles north of Kansas Avenue SW. Local access will be maintained to homes and fields from either side of the closed culvert.

Deteriorating conditions associated with the culvert headwall have required this closure. Construction of a new concrete box culvert is planned for the spring/summer of 2024.
