Johnson County schedules annual budgeting process for Fiscal Year 2025
Each year, the Johnson County Board of Supervisors, coordinating with other County elected officials and department heads, conducts a thorough budgeting process to create the County’s budget for the upcoming fiscal year. The public is invited to attend any and all meetings.
Johnson County Public Health Awarded P4VE grant to address Vaccine Equity
Johnson County Public Health (JCPH) has been selected as a demonstration site to receive funding from the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) in the amount of $150,000 under their “Partnering for Vaccine Equity” (P4VE) grant program. The program will enable JCPH to study vaccine equity within Johnson County and use their findings to develop interventions to reduce disparities.
Reminder: Johnson County property taxes must be paid by Oct. 2, 2023; late payment penalties begin Oct. 3, 2023.
The first installment of Johnson County property and mobile home taxes was due on Friday, Sept. 1, 2023. Payments must be delivered to the Treasurer’s Office, paid online, or postmarked by Oct. 2, 2023, to avoid a 1 ½ percent monthly penalty that will begin on Sunday, Oct. 3, 2023.
In-person payments must be made at the Treasurer’s Office, located on the first floor of the Johnson County Administration Building, 913 S. Dubuque St. in Iowa City. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
