Johnson County Elected Officials to hold listening posts at County Fair
The Johnson County Board of Supervisors, Attorney, Auditor, Treasurer and Sheriff will hold listening posts during the 2023 Johnson County Fair, which takes place Sunday, July 23 to Wednesday, July 26.
The listening posts will take place in Building B, space 21, on the Johnson County Fairgrounds, 3109 Old Hwy 218 S., Iowa City. Community members are encouraged to stop by and meet with Board members and Elected Officials to discuss any Johnson County-related topic. No formal agenda or presentation is planned.

Board of Supervisors formal meeting rescheduled to 1:30 p.m. on July 19
The Johnson County Board of Supervisors weekly formal meeting, originally scheduled for Thursday, July 20, 2023, has been rescheduled to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 19, 2023. The work session will continue as scheduled at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, July 19, 2023.
Board of Supervisors meetings take place in the second-floor boardroom of the Johnson County Administration Building, 913 S. Dubuque Street, Iowa City. Meeting dates, agendas and previous meeting recordings can be accessed at www.johnsoncountyiowa.gov.

Johnson County Historic Preservation Commission vacancy
The Johnson County Board of Supervisors announces one vacancy on the Historic Preservation Commission. The vacancy term begins upon appointment and expires Dec. 31, 2024.
Members shall be residents of Johnson County and demonstrate a positive interest in historic preservation, possessing interest or expertise in architecture history, historic preservation, planning, building rehabilitation, conservation in general or real estate. Residents residing outside of Iowa City are especially encouraged to apply.
